At the heart of ChicP is a simple ingredient with remarkable potential: the chickpea.

Naturally rich in fibre, plant protein and nutrients, chickpeas have been part of diets around the world for centuries. For us, they are more than just the base of hummus. They are the starting point for creating food that works harder nutritionally while still tasting exceptional.

Every ChicP recipe begins with chickpeas as the foundation, supported by carefully chosen ingredients like tahini, extra virgin olive oil and fresh vegetables. The result is hummus that delivers balance, flavour and nourishment in equal measure.

We see the chickpea not just as an ingredient, but as a powerful everyday food capable of bringing more fibre, more plants and more goodness into daily meals.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to make better, more nourishing food accessible through the power of chickpeas.

We believe everyday staples should do more for the people eating them. That means creating recipes that offer real nutritional value while using simple, recognisable ingredients people trust.

We also believe hummus should go far beyond the dipping bowl. It should be something you reach for at breakfast, lunch or dinner. Spread on toast, layered into sandwiches, added to bowls or served alongside vegetables, fish or meat. A versatile staple that fits naturally into the way people eat today.

DOING BETTER WITH FOOD

Sustainability has been part of ChicP since the beginning.

From Hannah’s early days using surplus vegetables, the brand has always looked for ways to reduce food waste and use ingredients more thoughtfully.

One example is aquafaba, the natural liquid from chickpeas that is often discarded during cooking. ChicP incorporates aquafaba into its recipes, helping reduce waste while creating the smooth texture our hummus is known for.

Alongside this, ChicP works wherever possible with British farmers and producers, supporting a more responsible and transparent food system.
