Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp homemade red pepper tapenade
  • 2 tbsp ChicP Velvet Hummus
  • 1 slice of sourdough or your toast of choice
  • ½ ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1 tbsp kimchi
  • A handful of seaweed (we used @eatseaweed.co.uk)
  • 1 tbsp homemade toasted nut blend (pistachios, almonds, hazelnuts etc)
  • Extra toasted nuts and seeds to finish (we used @eatboundless)

A plant powered sandwich that goes all in.

This is not your average toast. We’re talking a thick swirl of ChicP Velvet Hummus mixed with smoky red pepper tapenade, topped with avo, kimchi, crunchy seaweed and a shower of crushed nuts and seeds. It’s tangy, creamy, crunchy chaos and it works.

How to Make It:

  1. Toast it. Start with a good slice of sourdough or rye. Toast until golden and crisp.
  2. Mix + swoosh. Stir together ChicP Velvet Hummus and your favourite red pepper tapenade. Spread generously over the toast, edge to edge.
  3. Layer up. Add avocado slices, kimchi and a handful of seaweed (yes, really).
  4. Crunch it. Blitz or bash your toasted nuts and sprinkle them on top. Add a final hit of mixed seeds for extra crunch.
